Viladequinta is the result of three small plots (the largest is 1500 m) facing north-east on a very steep slope with very poor slates soils, 750 metres above sea level. They are located on the north side of the V shaped Valley, opposite O Cabalin slope. They were planted between 1925 and 1930

Our Wine

The wine has the beautiful colour of ripe cherries with garnet hues.

Nose of medium intensity featuring ripe wild berries and black berries, followed by dry flower petals, botanical essence and medicinal herbs.

It deepens towards the scents of tobacco leaves, smoky notes emerge hand in hand with sweet and hot spices and the ground surfaces with scents of clay and minerality. Very elegant.

It feels light, lively and very attractive in the mouth, with a medium body that supports the vibe. Flavours of orange peel and ripe red cherries blend with the freshness of mint and saline touches.

Tannins are clean and moderate in strength. The wine displays power, surprising acidity, length and a juvenile and chirpy personality, full of flavour and persistent.

Useful tips:

Viladequinta 2020 is a wine with a clear evolution potential, yet right now it feels very nice, smooth and elegant.

It will be delicious alongside cheese and cold cuts, with grilled vegetables, fish and red meat, and it will beautifully pair with the whole spectrum of pulses. However we highly recommend to save a glass to have a one to one conversation with it.

It is thoroughly enjoyable right now but we are certain it will beautifully evolve in the following years.
